Signage Shows The Power Of Positivity In The Age Of COVID-19

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has changed everything, from the way we communicate to the way we gather, and, especially, the way we work. Local restaurants and businesses accustomed to busy dining rooms and lobbies had to adapt quickly to stay in compliance with social distancing policies while still being able to keep the lights on.

However, one of the challenges about doing business during a pandemic is letting people know you’re still open and what services you still offer. That’s why Revolution Wraps put $5,000 worth of free signs and banners out into the community. This #PositiveRevolution spread across Lincoln and Omaha and beyond, with the support of businesses and citizens alike.

Yes, We’re Open

While social media can be a great tool for providing customers with updates, it’s important to have outdoor messaging that reaches people in the real world who may be searching for an open restaurant on their lunch break or trying to find a place to pick up some essentials. During the #PositiveRevolution campaign, businesses were able to request free banners or signs with such messages as “Free Delivery,” “Curbside Pickup,” and “We Are Open.” It’s an easy and eye-catching way to let people know you’re still open for business and ready to serve customers.

Thank You Essential Workers

Another part of the campaign involved positive yard signs, which were available for pickup outside of Revolution Wraps’ locations in Lincoln and Omaha. Messages included “Positivity! Not Cancelled,” “Thank You Frontline Responders,” and “All Essential Workers, Thank You For Going To Work Every Day.” The story was picked up by local news station KLKN, which resulted in high demand for the free signage.
